The woman has been identified as 29-yr-old Natasha Dixon of a Mandeville address. The couple attended a Mandeville dance club during the Jamaica 50 festivities, when the woman danced with a friend of the teen.
The teen and the woman then had a heated exchange and were put out of the club, where the 17-yr-old used a knife to stab Dixon in the neck and fled the scene.
The injured woman managed to run to the Mandeville Police Station where she collapsed and died. The teen was later nabbed and taken into custody, where he is expected to be charged. Dixon leaves six children behind.
