On his Twitter profile Ferdinand yesterday informed Bolt that he would be speaking to the Manager Sir Alex Ferguson "@rioferdy5 :@usainbolt if you want that trial at Man Utd shout me, I'll speak to the boss!! Well done in 100m, waiting for you to smash the 200m now!" Bolt then replied to Ferdinand's offer "@usainbolt: After the Olympics we work on that...lol..thanks man@rioferdy5".
During an interview on BBC Radio Five Live, the sprinter stated that he was looking forward to the Manchester United trial after Rio Ferdinand promised to set up a meeting with Sir Alex Ferguson.
