A man was arrested by the Police in London for throwing a green plastic bottle which landed meters away from the back of Yohan Blake's starting block during the start of the men's 100m race. The man was heard
swearing before he threw the bottle which was seen by millions of viewers. Scotland Yard has confirmed that the man was arrested on suspicion of causing a public nuisance the UK Guardian reported. The accused man was tackled by a Dutch Judoka female contestant after the incident. Bolt went on to win the highly anticipated 100m men's final race in 9.63s.

Bolt said he was not aware of the incident, but bronze medallist Justin Gatlin said that he sensed the commotion as he settled into his blocks.

"There was a little distraction and I didn't know what it was. You could hear a pin drop," said Gatlin. "You just have to block it out. It was a great race, one in the history books and I'm glad to be a part of it. The crowd were electrifying."
