Hard-core party fans can't wait to experience what they've been patiently counting down the days for: all their favourite parties in one weekend, in one place.
Since 2009, the Dream Team has been serving up this dish for tens of thousands of customers, but this year, they've made the bold move to add a few extra fillings to the recipe.
Smirnoff Dream Weekend wouldn't be the same without the trusted Twisted Spiritz, Daydreams, YUSH, Xtreme Wet n Wild, Bere Vibes, or Smirnoff Xclusive parties, but this year, August 1-6, the freshly minted Smirnoff Dream WEEK joins the official Jamaica 50 celebrations by hosting a festival like never before with the addition of four new events: Dream LIVE, Beach Rave, Igloo, and Dream Miami J'ouvert.
What's a festival without a concert? The premiere of Smirnoff Dream LIVE will kick off the celebrations in Negril with a line-up that includes dancehall's favourites Aidonia, I-Octane, Popcaan, the Doctor Beenie Man, and the young chart-busting Tommy Lee. The show doubles as sound system Coppershot's 18th anniversary on Emancipation Day (Wednesday, August 1) at the Cayenne Beach park on the strip.
DJ Liquid, DJ Nicco, DJ Absolute, and Coppershot will work the music.
On Thursday, when the Negril strip is just warming up, Smirnoff will host the all-new, drinks-inclusive Beach Rave at the Boardwalk. DJ Scorpio from New York City and 3rDimension from Kingston will treat patrons to something entirely fresh to the west: the sounds of pure house and techno music.
Things are expected to really heat up in Negril on Friday.
Kinston, St Andrew, and St Catherine must consider Igloo the biggest party in the city. That excitement makes its way to Negril as well.
Heineken Igloo begins at 2 p.m., Coppershot, DJ Absolute, and DJ Ashlie will keep the crowd at the Boardwalk Village entertained and revved up for Twisted Spiritz later at the Rainforest.
Saturday, as usual, will feature Daydreams and YUSH, and with Sunday, like clockwork comes Xtreme Wet n Wild at the Kool Runnings Water Park and Bere Vibes at Cayenne Beach.
That's not all! The Dream Team has imported another event for Sunday's massive line-up! For the first time in Jamaica, and specially for patrons feeling extra adventurous, Miami J'ouvert will be bringing the paint to the strip at Long Bay Beach Park II with DJ Smoke, Big Ralph, and Renegade launching musical missiles for the soca fans in Negril.
Wrapping up the Smirnoff Dream Week on the 50th anniversary of Jamaica's Independence (Monday, August 6) will be Smirnoff Xclusive and Shorts Circuit.
It's Smirnoff Dream Weekend, supersized for the Jamaica 50 celebrations. Eleven events over six days, from Emancipation Day to Independence Day. Be a part of history next week in Negril!
