News:Police Seeking 300 Major Players In Lottery Scam

The police are seeking to prosecute 300 people who are said to be major players in the lottery scam.

According to a statement from the Constabulary Communication Network, following four major lottery scam operations in St. James, more than 40 high-end and luxury motor vehicles were seized, and 102 persons detained.

19 of them have been charged with money laundering, conspiracy to defraud, unlawful possession of property and breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act.

The cases are currently before the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate’s Court.

The items seized during the operations are being stored at the Financial Investigation Division (FID).

CCN says detectives are working assiduously on several other cases to assist in the identification and prosecution of the top 300 players in the trade.
